Eleven years is a long time in running.
The sport has changed. The way people train, dress, race, talk about running, gather around it. Willpower has changed too. It had to. But one thing has stayed very consistent: we’ve always changed with you.
The Willpower Circle has been a major part of shaping this thing from the start. Your support, your feedback, the races we’ve met at, the stories you’ve shared, the silent nod when you meet another person with a Willpower shirt. We’re proud that Willpower has become an established part of the running world without losing the people it was built for in the first place.
There are a thousand ways to feel like you don’t quite fit in, and as running has grown, that feeling has only gotten stronger. More people, more money, more trends, more ideas about what a runner is supposed to look like, wear, buy, post, believe in. Not all new influences are bad. But they have made it much easier to feel lost in the sport.
We’ll keep doing what we’ve always done: finding our own way through it. Together.
Eleven years in, we’re still here because you are.
Thank you for the support, the trust and all the inspiration.
Proud Misfits. Hold Fast.
