Running and reading belong together because both ask for the same thing: attention. A run can clear your head, strip things down, and bring you back to rhythm. A book can do the opposite just as well. It can add depth, friction, perspective, and language for things you already felt but could not quite name. One takes you outside. The other takes you further in. Both reward patience. Both resist speed when speed becomes the whole point. And both remind us that not everything valuable has to be measured, posted, or turned into performance. Sometimes it is enough to spend time with something that stays with you. A good run can do that. A good book can too.
